As part of the Panama verification process the following vessel information must match on the CTR Test Result.

  • Vessel Name
  • IMO Number
  • Call Sign
  • Unit Manufacturer Name
  • Unit Model
  • Unit S/N
  • Company Name
  • Navigation Patent
  • Copy of old CTR
  • Evidence of vessel reporting within 24 hr

Once these checks are completed, the CTR Order will be checked for missing or incorrect information to validate the data, then released for printing.

On the CTR order form, select “CHANGES ON EXISTING CTR”.


If the required change is a change of Flag to a Flag that Pole Star do not issue CTR’s for, Pole Star will send an XML containing the test data to the new Flag. Pole Star will then inform you when this has been completed. No charge is required for this service by Pole Star, but you will then need to contact the Flag directly to make payment.

If you have lost the original copy of your CTR, you will need to place an order for a new one via the Pole Star website (https://polestar.secure.force.com/LRITrequest/LRITCTRRequest?dist=polestar).

If you have recently conducted an LRIT test, you can find your test number within your results. If you have recently taken over management of the vessel and do not have this detail, please contact lrittesting@polestarglobal.com who will be able to provide you with it.

All certificates are priced at GBP 100.00/USD 175.00 unless otherwise specified.

Excepted flags include BELIZE (GBP 125.00/USD 225.00), SIERRA LEONE (GBP 235.00/USD 375.00), PANAMA (GBP 156.00/USD 250.00) and PALAU (GBP 235.00/USD 375.00).

The methods that can be used to pay for a new certificate are: Credit Card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, etc.)

We offer standard and fast track service options.


STANDARD: CTRs will be produced and dispatched within 3 days of our receipt of cleared funds. (GBP 15.00/USD 26.00 - in addition to the cost of your CTR)


FAST TRACK: Within 24 hours, we will email a PDF copy to you and dispatch the hard copy via express courier, provided your application is received before 15:00 GMT. This 'Fast Track' service, whereby you apply and pay for your certificate immediately, guarantees you will receive the PDF before 15:00 GMT on the following working day. Fast Track requests that are received after the cut-off time of 15:00 GMT will be issued the next working day. (GBP 115.00/USD 201.00 - in addition to the cost of your CTR)

If you receive this error, please check the following:

  • The test number is correctly entered
  • The test was completed successfully
  • You have waited at least one (1) hour after the test has successfully passed to order your Conformance Test Report
  • The test was completed by Pole Star

If the details displayed after your order is submitted are incorrect or do not belong to the vessel you are ordering a Conformance Test Report for, please immediately contact our Support team on +44 207 313 7403.

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be filled out before submitting the Conformance Test Report (CTR) Request.

Where a flag issues their own LRIT certificates Pole Star will be able to send the amended Conformance Test results in the required format.


In order for Pole Star to update the vessel’s details and issue the amended test results you will be required to complete the online order form stating the new details that are to be applied. You will require the vessel's Pole Star Test number (Please enquire with Pole Star’s LRIT Team if you do not have this) and you need to tick the checkbox where asked if ‘changes are required’, add ONLY the correct/new information you wish to be applied to the new certificate then complete the mandatory fields on the order form (You will be asked for BILLING DETAILS however rest assured there is no charges for this service, Pole Star will soon be creating a more adequate order form for these types of requests and simply applying ‘N/A’ under the Finance Section will enable you to proceed).


Once Pole Star receive and action your request you will receive an email notification to confirm the amended results have been sent and you can approach the flag directly for the vessel’s new LRIT Certificate.

There are 5 stages in the CTR process

1. Pole Star Test Number

A test number is required in order to request a new CTR including any changes. You may find this by logging into your LRIT account under ‘Test Results’, alternatively contact the LRIT team :lritcert@polestarglobal.com

Tip: When emailing in please provide the IMO of the vessel, we will need this to provide the Test number. For Panama flagged vessels please provide previous CTR certificate and registry when emailing in.

Please allow 2-6 hours for replies.


2. Fill out the form

If making any changes, please tick the checkbox “Do you require changes to an existing conformance test report?”


Fill out all fields in capital letters. Please ensure all information is up to date and correct. Changes cannot be made after CTR is printed, if any mistakes found, a new order will have to be placed and paid for.


Once the form is filled out, click submit order, you will then be given a reference that should look like this: CTR-001723. An email confirmation will be sent to the delivery email address, please check your junk inbox as our emails may at times fall into here.


If you are not given a reference or received an email, and you have checked your junk inbox, the order may have not gone through. Please check for any errors on the order form.

3. CTR checks

Once your form has been submitted, the order will be checked by the LRIT Team. If any issues found with the vessel details the LRIT team will contact the delivery email address.

If all information is correct on the CTR order, the CTR will be submitted for Finance approval.

If you have any questions or any further changes to be made please email lritcert@polestarglobal.com as soon as possible.


4. Finance

The order will then be reviewed by our finance team, and a proforma will be sent to the billing email on the form or credit terms applied. Please check your junk inbox as our emails may sometimes fall into here

Tip: to speed up the order, provide proof of payment to our finance team on: lritfinance@polestarglobal.com this will help the Finance team process your order.

Please allow 2-6 hours for invoices to come through.


5. Receive CTR

Once finance has approved the payment, the order will be released to the LRIT Team. The LRIT team will issue a printing date and you will be notified. On the printing day you will first receive a PDF copy and the hard copy will then be dispatched.

A PDF copy will be sent.

For Standard Delivery, 3 working days after payment is approved by the Finance team, the hardcopy will be dispatched the same day.

For Fast Track Delivery, 1 working day after payment is approved by the Finance team, the hardcopy will be dispatched the same day.
